Cyclone Idai – Nothing to Love

Zimbabwe experienced torrential rainfall caused by Tropical Cyclone Idai from the 15th to 17th of March 2019. Cyclone Idai is regarded as one of the worst tropical cyclones on record to affect Africa and the Southern Hemisphere as a whole. It left behind a trail of destruction of lives, livelihoods and the environment of a magnitude not recorded before in Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

This exhibition relives the disaster in Manicaland in memory of those who lost their lives and livelihoods. In addition it aims to raise awareness on the natural disasters and the need for preparedness to limit their impact.
